Beverly Farms, MA, November 1, 2008. STM36O, a progressive sales and marketing consulting firm based outside of Boston, has appointed Charles Quimby as the company's new Director of Operations, effective November 1, 2008.
In his new role, Charles will be responsible for the migration and ongoing management of the company's new suite of eLearning products and services, developing corporate marketing initiatives, and building promotion systems to enhance the company's penetration in the marketing and sales consulting industry. Charles will report directly to Mike Stankus, the company's CEO and founder. Charles brings with him more than 15 years of experience working across a wide range of marketing, sales, coaching and leadership appointments.
Prior to his role at STM360, Charles served as co-founder and Director of a small leadership and personal development company which offered specialized coaching using Asian-based leadership tools. Before establishing and selling his own company, he held a variety of roles in Account Management and Consumer Behavior Analytics with The Nielsen Company. Focusing on the retail sector of the consumer packaged goods industry, Charles analyzed, designed and evaluated strategic-based marketing initiatives for some of the country's largest Food, Drug and Mass Merchandising retailers.
Charles holds a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University, where he was a Hoff Scholarship recipient and honors graduate. Charles also holds other distinctions outside the field of marketing and business. He is a sixth degree black belt in the classical Okinawan art of karate known as Uechi-Ryu (way-chee-roo). He also holds the unique distinction of being one of the youngest individuals in the world to ever be awarded the title of Shihan, or professor of karate, by the Okinawan Karate-Do Association, in Okinawa, Japan.
Charles lives in Wakefield, MA, with his wife, Charlotte, and their two sons, Hayden and Bailey.
